Terms Of Use

The terms and conditions outlined by Nippon Jidosha International Company (NJ) set forth clear expectations regarding the purchase of vehicles from dealer lots and auctions. Here are some key takeaways:

Auction and Dealer Vehicles: NJ does not physically possess the auction or dealer vehicles. The auction assessments are conducted by auction house staff, with no direct affiliation with NJ. Customers can request third-party inspections, but NJ does not offer warranties.

Deposits and Bidding: A deposit of 100,000 yen is required for a bid up to 1 million yen, increasing to 10% for higher bids. Deposits are refundable minus fees (bank, PayPal, inspection) if requested, and customers are responsible for making informed bid decisions.

Bid Withdrawal: If a bid is placed and cannot be withdrawn, the customer is liable for the payment if successful.

Re-entering Auctions: Customers can re-enter a vehicle into auction after a successful bid, but there will be a cancellation fee (100,000 yen) and the customer is liable for any losses from the resale.

Additional Costs: Customers are responsible for any additional costs such as inland transport and storage, including situations beyond NJ’s control like vehicle inoperability or shipping delays.

Payment: The payment invoice must be paid in full within five business days. Failure to do so results in penalties, forfeiture of deposit, and transfer of vehicle ownership to NJ.

Import Regulations: It is the customer’s responsibility to comply with import regulations of their country. NJ is not liable for providing accurate import information or advice.

Limited Liability: NJ is not responsible for any issues arising from third parties (auction houses, transporters, etc.) or external factors (exchange rates, mechanical issues, etc.).

Vehicle Condition: Vehicles may require maintenance upon arrival, and customers should take precautions when starting the vehicle after long periods of inactivity.

Dispute Resolution: Any disputes will be handled in good faith, and unresolved issues will be litigated under Japanese law in Chiba District Court.

These terms emphasize customer responsibility throughout the purchase process, with NJ facilitating transactions but not guaranteeing outcomes.
